SALON


Can I make an appointment for the Salon or Spa online?


You can request an appointment through the link at the top of the page. You can also reach us to schedule an appointment at 215-57-1200 during business hours .


How early should I arrive for my appointment?


We recommend arriving 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. If it is your first time at the Salon, please review what to expect here [link]


What types of payment do you accept?

All major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express) are accepted at DJW. We also accept checks and cash.


What are the hours of the Salon?

         Sunday    9am - 6pm

         Monday    9am - 9pm

         Tuesday    9am - 10pm

         Wednesday    7am - 10pm

         Thusrday    7am - 10pm

         Friday    7am - 10pm

         Saturday    7am - 6pm

Do you require any information to make a reservation for a salon service?


Many hair services do not require any additional information besides your name and phone number. 


However, A credit card is required to reserve all salon services requiring over 90 minutes. This includes all Keratin Conditioning Treatments.


Can I book a set of appointments for an event (Wedding, Bar Mitzvah, Etc.)?


Yes!

Parties of 3 or more require a 50% deposit to secure reservation. That deposit is non-refundable within 7 days of the event.


Can I bring my children to the salon for an appointment?


Yes, but please mention the child’s age when making an appointment. 

We recommend that a parent accompany any minor having services in the salon to ensure that both the minor and the parents are satisfied with the outcome of the service.



SPA


How do I schedule an appointment?


Call the Main Salon at 215-579-1200 to schedule any service in the spa. 


Where is the Spa?


It is downstairs from the main salon floor. Ask the front desk where to go if you are unsure when you arrive for an appointment. 


Do you require any information to make a reservation for a salon service?


A credit card is required to reserve all spa appointments. 50% of the value of the service will be charged to the card if the appointment is canceled within 24 hours.


When do I need to arrive for my appointment?


Check in time is already added into spa appointment, do not need to come early for spa apt unless you plan on taking steam shower. 


Do I need to prepare myself in any way for the Spa services?


Shaving before selected services could cause irritation to the skin. Please ask when scheduling your service about hair removal prior to arriving.

A locker with a robe and slippers is provided upon check-in to the spa.

Toiletries are provided for your convenience following your steam shower.

It is not necessary to remove make-up prior to arrival for facial services.

Expectant mothers in their first trimester should inquire about the safety of certain body treatments.


Do you allow minors or children in the Spa?


Any minor under the age of 18 is required to have a parent present at check-in and during the consultation process. The spa is a quiet zone not recommend for children.


NOTE: If there are any allergies that you have and may be concerned about, please notify your specialist before beginning any spa services. This includes but is not limited to allergy to lavender, lemon, or common fragrances. 




BOUTIQUES & HOME STORE


What are the hours of your retail stores?


All of our retail locations are open at the following times:


Monday  9 AM - 7 PM

Tuesday through Friday  9 AM - 9 PM

Saturday & Sunday 9 AM - 6 PM


Do you have a Sale section or discounted items?


Yes. There are sale sections in each of our retail locations, and select merchandise is discounted online. 


Do you have gift wrapping services?


Yes. We offer complimentary gift bags with tissue paper with a purchase at any of our locations. 

We also offer gift wrapping services for a small fee at DJW Home. This includes boxing, gift wrap, and ribbon. 


When is the seamstress/dressmaker available?


Our seamstresses are available from 9 AM to 5 PM from Tuesday to Saturday. If you need to make any changes concerning your alterations, please call the Main Salon at 215 579 1200.


No appointment is needed for a consult.


Which designers do you carry?


DJW offers more and more merchandise weekly from a vast collection of designers. Our brick and mortar locations may offer more variety than what appears online.

What is your return policy?

Do you do layaway purchases?


Layaway services are available at the Mezzanine Boutique (above the Salon). Deposits may be made within four weeks until the item is paid for in full. Layaway is final sale. 


What is the difference between The Mezzanine, 25 South Denim, and Essentials?


Each Boutique carries a unique variety of merchandise. All of them are located on South State St in Newtown Borough, each within walking distance of the other. 


Where can I use the David J. Witchell gift certificate I received/purchased?


The gift cards can be used at any of the DJW locations. It can be used towards a service or product purchase. Gift cards do not expire.


Can you deliver furniture and large purchases from the DJW Home?


We can recommend delivery services for furniture and other large purchases upon request. Please inquire before purchasing a large item if you are not sure how you will transport it. 


Can I special order an item in a different size? 


Yes. Special orders are final sale, and arrive at the Mezzanine boutique. We will contact you when the order arrives in store.


Can I put an item on hold?


Items can be placed on hold indefinitely if it is paid for in full. We do not hold items that have not been purchased. 


I can't find a price tag on this item. Why is that?


Our price stickers are small, but they are there!  If you cannot find a price, or are having trouble reading the price tag, please ask one of our sales associates, who will be more than happy to assist you. 


Furniture and larger items (Wall Art, statues, etc) often do not have price tags in order to preserve the quality of the item. We have prices available, so please feel free to inquire!


Do you have a wedding registry service?


Yes! Check our Registry page for details. 


Is there an interior designer discount available at DJW Home?


If you have formed a relationship with the owner and have a client that you are buying specifically for, please contact us ahead of time with detailed information to request a discount. Unfortunately the interior designer certification or business card is not sufficient for a discount. 





PURCHASES & ORDERS


Can I ship an order to an address outside of the United States?


Yes! However, we do charge additional fees for international shipping.



What is your return policy?

How long will it take for my online order to arrive?


Most orders take around 2 weeks to process and ship. It may take more or less time depending on the item. We will notify you by email when your order has been shipped.


What are the shipping charges/fees?


Our shipping charges are based on the weight and/or size of the item that is ordered. Shipping costs increase incrementally for larger purchases.

How do I sign up for an account?


We require an email, name, and password to sign up for an account on DavidJWitchell.com

 

Additional information is necessary to place an online order.


Where can I find my order history?


After you have signed in, there is a link that says “Account” in the top right corner of every page. Clicking this will bring you to your account information, where you can browse your order history.


Do you accept PayPal?


Yes. You can link your PayPal account to your DavidJWitchell.com account in the “Account Information” section, accessed by clicking on the “Account” link in the top right corner. 



Is everything you carry in the stores available to purchase online?


No. We carry thousands of products in the DJW locations, and get new products in weekly. We work as quickly as possible to make new products available for purchase, and we appreciate your patience. 


However, if there is a specific product that you would like to order that is not available online, please send us an email at customerservice@davidjwitchell.com, and we will set up a custom order as soon as possible. We can also process custom orders in person at the store locations. 


Is there someone I can contact if my question was not answered here?

    REGISTRY HELP


    How do I find someone’s registry?


    From the David J. Witchell homepage, scroll to the bottom of the page. Click on “Registry”, and details about the new DJW Registry will appear below. 


    Then, click “Find a Registry”.


    Enter the couple’s first and last name(s) in the search field under “Find”.
     
    Select your couple’s name from the list, and browse through their registry items.



    How do I purchase from someone’s registry online?


    To place an order online just follow these easy steps:


    On the DJW Registry home page, go to the "Find" section.  Enter the requested information and select GO.


    Click on the registrant name to view their gift registry.


    You'll have the opportunity to view photographs of gift registry merchandise. When you're ready to make your gift selection, simply add the item to your cart.


    You will be able to view all the items in your cart and proceed to the checkout by clicking on Checkout.


    The couple selects his/her preference as to how they would like to receive the gift, so during checkout the shipping address may be predetermined. We will guide you through the process no matter which option the couple selected!


    Within minutes of completing the Checkout, the gift registry list will be appropriately updated to reflect your purchase.


    Most purchases can be gift wrapped for a nominal charge of $5.00 per item. 



    How do I create a registry online?


    From the David J. Witchell homepage, scroll to the bottom of the page. Click on “Registry”, and details about the new DJW Registry will appear below. 


    Then, click “Create a Registry”.



    Do you offer announcement cards to send out with my invitations?


    Yes. Upon request we provide announcement cards. 



    If DJW Home doesn’t currently have an item in stock at the brick and mortar location, can I still add it to my registry?


    Yes! Please note processing time for this type of order has a 1 to 2 week wait for shipment. 



    Can my guests purchase from a registry at the DJW Home store in Newtown, PA? Will the registry be updated accordingly?


    Yes, and yes. If you have had your Registry Appointment at DJW Home, we will have a copy of your registry available at the store in Newtown for your guests to browse. The purchases will be recorded and taken off the registry online accordingly. 



    Once I’ve created my registry, how do I add or remove items from my list?


    To Change Quantity:


    Click on “Account” at the top right of any page on DavidJWitchell.com


    Select “My Registry” from the list. 


    You can remove items or edit the quantities of items that are already on your registry by clicking “Manage


    To change the quantity, click into the field with a “1”. Change the number to the desired quantity.
     
    Then press the “Update” button, with two arrows forming a circle. This saves the updated quantity you entered. 


    To Remove:


    Go to the afore mentioned Manage page for your registry. 


    You will see a red box with an “X” in the top right corner of each item in your registry. Click this to remove an item from your registry


    To Add:


    You can add items to your registry on any page that you see products. The Heart icon in the top right corner of a product photo will appear as white if it has not been added to your registry or your favorites. 


    Click on the heart to add the product to your registry. A popup window will appear. Select “Add to Registry”, and click Submit.
